Hello, friends! If you and your family are in the midst of back-to-school chaos, we feel you! Krystin's son just started 1st grade and Vanessa's two daughters just started 1st grade and PreK 3's. It's a busy and exciting season as we navigate new routines. As two active moms, we can confidently say that these home organization hacks actually work.

1️⃣ Start with the Drop Zone

That spot where shoes, keys, and bags pile up? Give it purpose with a tray for keys, baskets for shoes, and hooks for bags—bonus points if they match your decor.

2️⃣ Make Storage Pretty and Purposeful

When storage looks good, you’ll actually use it. Think woven baskets, linen boxes, or glass jars that can stay in plain sight. On the other hand, when organizing items inside cabinets, you can save money by prioritizing the function of products rather than their design.

3️⃣ Give Everything a Home

Designate a spot for each item—labeled bins for snacks, drawer dividers for supplies, and one basket per family member for odds and ends. Our Bluebird team enjoys using these versatile clip-on labels, allowing our clients to easily identify where items should be returned. They are ideal for pantry baskets, offices, and playrooms.

4️⃣ Mix Style + Function

Organization can be beautiful! Layer shelves with books, baskets, and greenery. Use vintage trays to corral bathroom items.

5️⃣ Clear One Surface

Start small—clear the coffee table or kitchen island. A 5-minute reset each day can completely shift the feel of your home.
