Organizing: A Fresh Start

This Carrollton family had a closet just off their kitchen and living room that had slowly turned into a catch-all, filled with items that didn’t have a designated home.
Their goal was to transform it into a functional, family-friendly space where their kids could easily access crafts and games, while also incorporating practical storage for everyday items. We started by decluttering and editing, helping them decide what to keep, relocate, or let go.
From there, we created a system focused on simplicity, visibility, and long-term ease.
A cube storage system became the foundation, maximizing vertical space, creating clear zones, and keeping everything accessible. We added lidded bins, categorized and labeled for crafts, games, and household items so both kids and adults can easily find (and return) what they need.
We also installed over-the-door racks to create a snack station, giving the kids independence while keeping everything organized and off the main shelves.
The result is a completely transformed space... no longer a catch-all, but a purposeful, functional extension of the home that supports daily routines and brings a sense of calm.
Simple Organizing Tips That Make a Big Difference
• Start with one small space like a drawer, a shelf, or a single cabinet... quick wins build momentum.
• Give everything a “home.” If it doesn’t have a designated place, it will always become clutter.
• Use baskets and trays. They instantly corral items and make spaces look more intentional.
• Keep everyday items easy to reach. The more accessible something is, the more likely it is to
stay organized.
• Edit regularly. A quick weekly reset (even 5–10 minutes) keeps things from piling up.
Common Mistakes We See
• Trying to organize too much at once.
• Keeping items "just in case" without a clear purpose.
• Buying storage products before decluttering
• Creating systems that don't align with daily habits.
• Prioritizing "perfect-looking" systems over ones that actually function for daily life.
Our goal is simple: to bring beauty and function back into your everyday spaces.
We begin with a complimentary in-home consultation to understand how your space is used and what would make it work better for you. From there, we create a custom plan with thoughtful organization strategies and product recommendations tailored to your home.
On organizing day, our team handles the editing, sorting, and system-building by creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but easy to maintain. We also take care of donations and trash, so you’re left with a clean, refreshed home from start to finish.
Ready for a reset that actually lasts? Let’s create a space that works for you!
